Scot Zimmerman


Scot Zimmerman, founding partner of Interlinx Associates, has over 25 years of experience in the CRM arena as a customer, vendor, and partner working on implementations ranging from American Building Contractors, a national roofing insurance restoration company, to Cargill, a global Fortune 100 firm.

Scot has a degree in electrical engineering and worked at Hughes Aircraft, Honeywell, and MTS Systems. After receiving an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Scot had the opportunity to implement a CRM system at MTS.  This system, rolled out in three months, helped generate $900,000 of new revenue for a catalog business within the first year.

Developing the CRM solution for sales, service and call center made Scot realize his true passion was with CRM. He wanted to spread the word about the power of the technology tools that were becoming available. He transitioned from the client to the vendor side, and worked for CRM software companies for 5 years.  In 2001  Scot established Interlinx Associates, LLC and has partnered with the leaders in the industry—Sage Software,, SugarCRM.   Scot leads the professional services group, and is a hands-on consultant on many complex implementations, integrations, and business process automation solutions. Scot has integrated CRM to several accounting system, including MAS 90/200, Microsoft Dynamics GP, JDE, and has leveraged third party tools for integration and workflow automation.

Scot is known in the industry for his intuitive feel for technology applications, his grasp of business process, and his problem solving skills. His grasp of customer work processes, and his corresponding understanding of the capabilities of technology make him a key point person for architecting viable solutions and for prioritizing client requirements based on costs, level of effort, and feasibility.

Scot has taken Interlinx Associates from a small Sage partner organization to one of the leading CRM firms in the Twin Cities.  He is respected in the CRM space as a hard-working, knowledgeable resource, who adds value to any company he works with.

Scot has raised a family of three in Edina, MN and remains passionate about hiking, boating and the desert Southwest.   If you visit Scot at his office, you will likely meet his Office Manager, Kiba–a YorkiePoo terrier.
