The Interlinx Associates

Rick Putnam

Rick Putnam joined the team at Interlinx Associates first as an independent contractor managing the company website.  His work was so good, and his response so timely, he was offered a position full time to work on business development, sales engineering, and  building the  customer Web support arm of Interlinx.Rick Putnam

Rick went to the University of Boulder so he could study mechanical engineering and snowboard 60 days a year.  He graduated with a BS in Engineering, and the rest is history.

Shortly after joining Interlinx, Rick passed his ACT! Certified Consultant exam, and has begun to work directly with clients on CRM implementations.  He has studied for the SalesLogix CRM Engineer certification, and recently was a finalist at the Sage Sales Academy sales presentation contest.

Rick has always had a talent for understanding and troubleshooting computer and software issues.  His computer technical expertise was evident early on when he naturally became the “go to guy” at several of his positions before users would call IT support services.  His work  at Spanlink Communications as an Account Development Manager, and his inside sales support of customers at Rosemount, Inc., in Chanhassen were solid foundational experiences for the customer relationship management work he has taken on at Interlinx.

Rick also brings entrepreneurial and Web experience to Interlinx through his SnowProfessor.com business and Rick Ryan Productions.  Rick Ryan Productions was a wedding video production company which he operated for three years.  Rick is now leveraging his knowledge of Search Engine Optimization, Web development, marketing and video production from his SnowProfessor.com website for the new Interlinx WebLinx Site Tracker and Web Support business.

It doesn’t take long to find out that Rick’s passion outside of work are his kids, Ellie and Spenser, and his wife Jenny who works at the Minnetonka General Store.

Rick’s other passion is snowboarding, where he is not only an accomplished boarder, but has served on the American Association of Snowboard Instructors Board of Directors, attained Level 3 Snowboard certification, Freestyle Accreditation, and Children’s Accreditation.  He has also earned a spot on the AASI Central Division Educational Staff.  Rick is currently a snowboard instructor and coach at the Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area and for SkiJammers.  See Rick’s board in action on this video (click on the link).  Rick Putnam on the board, 2010
