The Interlinx Associates

Ramona Bennett

Ramona Bennett aka Ellie

Don’t let that soft southern twang fool you.

Ramona Bennett cut her teeth at US Steel, and later worked at Cargill Salt in sales and sales management.  She rose to be the Director of Marketing: managing people, P&L, and products.  She increased the level of employee engagement and reduced costs more than 40% on a product line by implementing modifications that were suggested from a consumer research project.

Ramona has called on key accounts ranging from Kraft, General Mills, Exxon and P&G, forging customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and setting strategy.  She’s worked across organizations, leading cross-functional teams including operations, finance, sales, marketing and R&D.  She’s managed industrial sales people and has been a face to face salesperson herself.

This business expertise serves Ramona well at Interlinx Associates, where business savvy to make technology solutions work for customers is as important as the technology itself. Ramona’s quick grasp of a client’s business opportunities and her ability to take the client’s perspective makes her  a great advocate and solution provider.

But Ramona knows how to have fun—she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Marine Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (hence the subtle but distinct accent); received an Alternative Master of Business Administration from the Minnesota Management Institute at the Carlson School of Business at the U of MN; and has completed over 1,500 hours of personal and professional development courses including Strategic Marketing and Planning, e-Business Strategy and Strategic Pricing.

In addition to the “fun” referenced above, Ramona is a gourmet cook and oenophile.  Her idea of relaxing is cooking a savory meal and having a fine glass of wine.  She’s always game for a baseball outing, biking, walking the dog, and reading a good book.  She’s one generation removed from Luxembourg where many of her relatives still reside.

When Ramona first started in the technology industry, she wasn’t sure her skill set fit—now that she’s been successful in the business, she says if she can do it, you can, too!
